Enjoy Blu-ray disc playback for less than €150
Our Blu-ray ‘combo’ drives for your home computer, which play Blu-ray disc movies and write to DVD now cost less than €150.
Following recent media speculation that Blu-ray is becoming the primary standard for playback and recording of High-Definition (HD) content, you can not only buy systems in confidence, the technology is becoming more affordable too.
Our Blu-ray Combo drive can be specified in PCs created by system builders and also purchased in off-the-shelf multimedia PCs.
A retail package of the drive called the BDC-S02 is available to purchase. The package includes bundled software to enable the playback of Blu-ray disc movies and the creation and playback of DVD and CDs. The drive is currently available through on-line stores and our distributors.
The Blu-ray Combo drive has the appearance of a DVD or CD and is easily fitted into any standard PC drive bay in around 10 minutes.
Multimedia PCs are designed to complement home environments and are increasingly geared for movie playback from the Blu-ray Combo drive with powerful processors, graphics and sound cards further complemented by flat screen displays. Such PCs are also easily connected to living room entertainment set-ups, so you can enjoy the ultimate movie experience on your flat screen TV's.
As well displaying HD content, the Blu-ray Combo drive also records to DVD, taking care of applications such as creating image libraries and MP3 catalogues, to home movie and system back-ups.

- 6X to DVD-RW and +RW
- 4X to DVD-R Dual Layer and +R Double Layer media
- 5X to DVD-RAM
- 24X to CD-R and CD-RW media types.
